Hey there!

I really like ships from the age of sail. Galleys, Ships of the line, Galleons, Carracks, whatever.
I here post descriptions from all kind of ships like pictures etc. Currently reading about the history of the Galley from the bronze age until the Venetian age. Pretty interesting. Will post something when i am done reading it!


Just a little starter. This is the Aemilia (1631); a Dutch East-India vessel with 28 cannons, and sailed until 1639 with a crew capacity of 300.

This is a more well known Swedish (although, less so succesful) ship of the Swedish Empire. Armed to the bone, it sank short after its launch.
